Acceptance
By installing or using Resphinx (web, Android, or desktop), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app. Resphinx is operated by VersaCarte at resphinx.versacarte.com.
What Resphinx does
Owners & managers
- Manage properties, units, and clients
- Track rent and other charges
- Chat, maintenance, and invites
- Collect rent through supported processors
Tenants
- View unit and lease details
- Pay rent and related charges
- Submit repair requests
- Message the property manager
Accounts
- You must be 18 or older
- Register with email/password or supported social / Auth0 login
- Keep credentials private and tell us about unauthorized access
- Provide accurate information; do not share your account
Optional 2FA (authenticator or SMS) is recommended.
Payments
Resphinx helps managers and tenants collect and pay rent through third-party processors (for example Paystack, Pesapal, Google Pay, or PayPal where enabled).
- Card numbers, M-Pesa PINs, and bank credentials are entered on the processor’s hosted page
- Resphinx is not a bank and does not hold tenant rent as a deposit-taking wallet
- Where a manager connects settlement payout, new payments may settle on the processor’s schedule
- Transactions are final unless disputed with the processor or property manager
Hosting and maintenance fees
Resphinx charges a 1.5% hosting and maintenance fee on collected transactions processed through the app, in addition to processor fees. Fees are deducted before the manager’s net settlement. Tenants pay the billed amount shown in the app. Live processor rates can change. VersaCarte may increase the hosting and maintenance fee up to 2% with notice in these Terms; the payment screen does not restate this fee.
Conduct & content
- No false property or identity information
- No harassment or abuse in chat
- No unauthorized access, malware, or unlawful use
- No reverse-engineering or copying of the product
Chat and maintenance tools facilitate communication. VersaCarte is not responsible for the quality or timing of repairs carried out by managers or contractors.
IP, liability & law
- Resphinx branding, design, and code belong to VersaCarte
- The app is provided “as is”; we do not guarantee uninterrupted service
- To the extent allowed by law, VersaCarte is not liable for indirect or consequential damages
- Total liability is capped at fees you paid to use the app in the prior 12 months
- These Terms are governed by the laws of Kenya
To delete your account, email support@versacarte.com from your registered address. We may suspend accounts that violate these Terms. See also the Privacy Policy.
